On September 2, 2018, Andrew was cruelly taken from us, our world came crashing down and the hole left by our loss is unimaginable. He was the most wonderfully giving and loving man, a doting husband, adoring father, leader in his industry and treasured friend to all he knew. Andrew touched so many lives over the years and we have been heartened and moved by all of the wonderful messages and tributes to him. It speaks to the man we loved so much. As some of you will be aware, the British Heart Foundation does fantastic work in the field of heart and circulatory health, helping spread awareness and working on research that transforms lives and boosts survival rates. Their research is a promise to protect the people we love. Our parents. Our brothers. Our sisters. Our grandparents. Our closest friends. Andrew was a firm believer in the power of giving, as everyone who knew him will have experienced in different ways. In just one example of his spirit, he was a prolific donator of blood and platelets throughout his life, to the point of being honoured by the Blood and Transplant service multiple times for his generosity. Andrew gave all he could, they actually had to stop him from donating for his own health! In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations to be made to BHF in his memory so that we can continue this spirit of giving and help so many others through your generosity. He was a true legend, loved by all and dearly missed. He taught us so many things and his strength should inspire us all to live life to the fullest and continue to honour him in our endeavours. Thank you, on behalf of the entire Bourne family. Love Janet, Nick and Claire xxx
