My mother, Brenda Day was an inspiration to everyone who met her. She wanted donations made in her honour to the British Heart Foundation. Thank you on behalf of my mum and the family.

Brenda was a Nursing Sister for 40 years as well as a mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend to everyone during her life. She always had a smile on her face and even when in pain from illnesses towards the end would selflessly ask about how the other person and their family were doing. She was always immaculately turned out with perfect hair, nails and makeup and coordinating clothes - even when later in life her heart condition worsened and she had severe disability problems. She was a deep believer in God which gave her strength to save the many lives as well as comfort the terminally ill. She especially loved the work she did with children at Queen Mary's Hospital in Carshalton for so many years. Her faith in God helped her to always be optimistic and cheerful and shine her loving light to the very end. She is still with us, shining her love and sparkle.
