Mum died 3 weeks before her 101st birthday. One of her special claims is that she received 2 cards from the Queen, one for her diamond wedding anniversary and one for reaching 100 years old. She married dad in 1940 during the second world war and lived most of her life in Grays and then Upminster. She and dad would be thrilled that Jonathan is now living in the family home in Upminster. She did get the chance to meet her first great grandchild, Jamie, over the last two years. Despite not really understanding who he is, she gave him a huge smile each time he visited. Mum was adamant that she didn't want a funeral so we will all be raising a cup of tea or coffee to her on Saturday September 1st at 3.00pm local time. We hope that there will be gallons of tea and coffee drunk in Australia, Europe, the US and even Peru or Costa Rica.
