On 29th April 2020 friends, family and colleagues woke up to the news that they had suddenly lost their friend, colleague and a special midwife Rae. Due to the present situation of social distancing, friends, family and colleagues will "Do Our 5K for Rae" in groups of 5-6 on the last weekend of June 2020 and celebrate the life of Rae. "Rae loved the craic, her holidays and the chat. She had a special way of being able to give time and friendship to each and every person she came into contact with no matter how busy she was." "Rae's smile, sense of humour and true compassion made even the dullest of days so much brighter" " Rae was such a remarkable, kind, loving friend and midwife, full of wisdom and support. A true mentor." " We all gained so much by knowing Rae and now lost so much" Rae was a midwife at Altnagelvin and cared for mothers and babies for over 30years. Colleagues, friends and families who have come in contact with Rae will all have special individual memories to treasure. The British Heart Foundation is leading the fight against heart disease and they rely upon supporters to help them continue their vital and ground-breaking research.
