Sheila died peacefully at Isle Court Nursing Home, Bicton, Shrewsbury on 11th July. Much loved sister of Roger (and his wife Czesia), aunt to Sara, Elena, David & Jamie; and cousin to Annette (very much a surrogate Sister); stalwart of Shrewsbury & Atcham Conservative Association for many years, Sheila will be sadly missed by all. Born in the Wirral, then part of Cheshire, Sheila, with daughter Jane moved around the country following her husband Len, an airline pilot, to wherever he was based; settling in Wilmslow, Camberley and Adlington before finally retiring to Cressage in Shropshire. There, despite losing both her husband and daughter within a traumatic seven month period some 23 years ago, Sheila showed the strength, fortitude and astonishing spirit to remain cheerful, upbeat and the same funny person as always. Understandably the cottage in Cressage eventually became too big for just her and she moved into the centre of Shrewsbury, where she resided until a near fatal heart attack meant that her lovely flat had to be sold. The final move was to Isle Court, where she lived out the remaining three years of her life, still sparkling.
