Help and FAQs

With a tribute page, you and your family and friends can come together to share memories of your loved one and raise money for the BHF.

What is a tribute page?
A tribute page is an online fundraising space where you, your family and friends can celebrate the life of a loved one and the wonderful things that made them special. It’s a place that you can share photos, stories and memories and an easy way to collect donations in their memory.

Why create a tribute page?
This tribute page is yours to come back to whenever you need. It’s a space to share memories and stories. A space to remember the millions of little things that made your loved one a remarkable person to know and love, and ensure that their live will play a role in every breakthrough that BHF makes for generations to come.

How do I get started?
It’s easy to create a tribute page in memory of a loved one. Simply click create a tribute page and follow the instructions.

Do I need to pay a fee to set up my page?
Your tribute page is free to set up. The money you raise will help fund the BHF's ground breaking research.

Do I need to set a fundraising target?
It’s entirely up to you. Setting a target is optional.

How do I send you offline donations?
When you add an offline donation to your page you will be given a reference number. Please ensure you quote this number in a covering letter along with your monies. Please send them to:

How much of my donation will go to the British Heart Foundation?
For every online donation we receive through a tribute page, we will be charged an admin fee to process the donation. This fee is 20-30p plus % of your donation (varies depending on payment method).

If you would like the BHF to receive the full amount of your donation, you can choose to cover the cost of the admin fee to your donation. You can find out more information here.

Can I add Gift Aid to the donations?
Yes. Using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, we can claim back 25p from HMRC, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn't cost you or the BHF a thing. So if you want your donation to go further, simply tick the Gift Aid box when you make your donation.

Can I add fundraising events to my page?
Yes. Simply click on ‘Create an event in memory’ and follow the step-by-step process.

How do I tell my friends and family about my tribute page?
You can share your page through our Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and email links on your fund page.

Can I change my page later?
Once your page has been created you can use the admin area to change your page information, and add photos and videos as often as you like. You can also update your fundraising target and change your password or email address at any time.

What about security?
You will be using a secure connection to create your page and make donations - a password-protected account will be set up for you to make any changes.

Why can’t I see my donation on the page?
If you can’t see the donation on the tribute page, it might be that your payment didn’t complete. Please check the statement on your payment method to check if it went through. If it did and you are still experiencing problems, please contact the customer service team by emailing heretohelp@bhf.org.uk or calling 0300 330 3322.

Is there someone I can talk to directly?
If you have any questions or want to chat through setting up your page, we can help. Get in touch by emailing heretohelp@bhf.org.uk or calling 0300 330 3322.
