Brian Gillespie (Dad) was an outgoing, sociable and active individual who lived life to the full. Although he was in general very laid back, he remained strong willed and determined till the end.

Brian was born on 25 March 1933 and passed away on 30 June 2024. He led a full and interesting life which included lots of travel over the years. Along with his late wife Pat, Dad enjoyed sailing throughout the Channel Islands and France before purchasing properties in France, the South Coast of England and Spain. Dad lived in Ilford with Pat for about 37 years and liked to socialise in the Loxford Club where he made many friends. He also regularly frequented the British Legion and other establishments where he enjoyed dancing and listening to music. He spent his most recent years living in South Shields where he loved residing near the coast and lovely beach. Dad will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his two sons, two stepsons and their immediate families.
