Douglas. Doug. Dougal. Dad. A loving, generous and kind father, husband, uncle, brother in law and dear friend to so many. One of life's true gentlemen who brought fun and sunshine to us all.

My dad, Douglas C Nicoll was a wonderful man who enjoyed a long life.

He gave unwavering love and support to Betty, his wife of 47 years. He was a devoted dad, and I will forever treasure his warmth, joy and sparkle. He welcomed Dave into our family like his own son and it has been a privilege for us to spend these last few years caring for him. He was a much adored family member and a great friend to so many. A gentleman who endured some difficult challenges with dignity and stoic good humour.

Heart problems have been an issue across generations of his family and he was a long standing supporter of the BHF.
This collection in his memory will give the opportunity for more people to benefit from the research BHF undertake.
