A kind & loving Husband, Father & Grandfather who always cared for his family. He had a great passion for nature & enjoyed gardening and producing fresh fruit & vegetables for the home.

Roland was born with an undetected heart valve abnormality not found until he retired, he underwent open heart surgery to rectify this. Roland did not let this stop him enjoying foreign travel all around the world. His joy of taking photos can be seen in the picture books he produced of his trips using his skills with Photoshop & Illustrator acquired during his time as a printer. Roland was the founding volunteer of the Boxmoor Trust where he was involved with many projects over 20 years including the Gadespring Cress Beds.
