Thelma passed away peacefully on 9th January after a brief illness.

That she reached 85 years of age was in large part due to receiving an aortic valve replacement more than 20 years ago. In her last days, she made it clear how grateful she was to have been given the time to see her granddaughters, Stef and Katy, grow up and make her incredibly proud and to have had the chance to spend time with her great granddaughter Evie.

She made it more than clear that she would rather people make a donation to BHF as a way of thanking the team that gave her those extra years rather than spending money on flowers.
